The 2019 Hockey Foundation Gala Dinner presented by Craigs Partners will take place at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland on Thursday, March 7th from 7pm. The evening will feature a delicious three-course meal, a stunning selection of fine New Zealand wines and beverages, a charity and silent auction with several sought-after items and high profile guest speakers. The Hockey Foundation Gala Dinner is the primary bi-annual fundraiser for the Hockey Foundation.
We believe that quality coaching is the key to strong player development and in order to create good coaches we need to provide good coach education. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to go towards up-skilling coaches to provide positive hockey experiences to all of our participants. This includes funding 8 Coach Developers and 8 Skills Coaches to work around the country.
Confirmed Guest Speakers:
- Kayla Whitelock - Four-time Olympian, former captain of the Black Sticks and Commonwealth Games silver (2010) and bronze (2014) medalist.
- Hamish Bond - Double Olympic gold medalist in rowing, Commonwealth Games bronze cycling medalist.
- Blair Tuke - 2016 Rio Olympics gold medalist and 2012 London Olympics silver medalist in sailing.
In addition, one of Newshubs longest serving reporters and motorsport guru Shaun Summerfield will MC the evening.
